A month in (snail) mail
I just got back to NY from a month of travelling. My mail consisted of:
- No less than 12 credit card offers!
- A couple useful things: W-2s, a bill, pay stubs
- My Economist issues
- Junk mail for various things ranging from chocolate to Broadway shows
What stunned me the most was the sheer number of credit card offers. How many
credit cards do people really need? I have 1 right now, I imagine having
another one might be useful sometimes, since I only have Amex and some people
don't take that. But beyond that, damn! Are credit cards going to be the
next subprime fiasco? I'm not qualified to answer that, but they sure are
hawking them hard right now.
